Shay Katebe

- Lead Wedding & Event Planner

Hello! My name is Shay and I am the founder of Shay K Events and Vibrant Booths. I love bubble tea, so let’s pretend to enjoy a cup of bubble tea as I tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a degree in Integrative Studies (Business, Communication, and Hospitality Management). Growing up, I always helped my mom plan and execute weddings, church events, parties, etc. I enjoyed it so much that I became a wedding and event planner. The fact that I get to do this for a living is such a privilege and an honor.

When I am not in planning mode, you will usually find me spending time with my friends and family, at church, traveling the world, or doing something music related. Apart from that, I’m just a girl who is making the most of the life I have been given. We only live once, right?

 

Danielle Howard

- Day-of Coordinator

Hi my name is Danielle, but I go by Danni! I was born and raised in South Africa where I worked for a prestigious Makeup brand and eventually became involved in the eventing part of the makeup industry which included weddings. I would get lost in the details of wedding planning and would find myself being enamored by the special details that bring a wedding to life, thus my passion for wedding planning and day of coordinating was born. I decided during Covid to take this passion seriously and got my Planning Certificate. I am obsessed with helping couples bring their dream weddings to life. I love colours and flowers and little touches that represent who our couples are. When I am not planning or coordinating weddings I can be found doing makeup or playing with my son!

 

Natalie Hayes

- Day-of Coordinator

Hello!:) My name is Natalie and I work full time as an event planner for a corporate company (some might even say i’m in my corporate girl era). This job has shown me that what I enjoy most is working with people, the art of hospitality, and fine tuning the details. Getting to be apart of someone’s special day is such an honor and one I don’t take lightly. While weddings are a beautiful celebration of love and two becoming one, we all know there are a lot of logistics that go into making it all happen. My hope is to take a load off of the bride + grooms shoulders so they can be fully present with each other and with their guests. 

When I am not working you can likely find me thrifting, DIYing something in my apartment, hanging out with friends, or trying new restaurants and coffee shops. However, if money wasn’t a factor, you would find me off traveling the world, eating the best food and seeing all the sites one country at a time.

 

Sandy Jorge

- Day-of Coordinator

Hi there! I’m Sandy! I love getting to help bring joy to clients on their special days. I grew up assisting with planning and executing events… from folding napkins and decorating venues to making sure the events ran smoothly. I have always enjoyed being a part of the crew that makes things happen and solves problems without clients ever knowing anything unplanned took place.

When I’m not working on an event, you can find me on the dance floor. I know about eight different kinds of partner dances. I’m not a master at any of them, but I’m getting there. Apart from dancing the night away, I love to spend time with my family way more than my friends, which is funny because typically it is the other way around. I love to put smiles on people’s faces and laughter in their hearts. So let’s smile and laugh together while we make your dream event come to life.
